Davis Mills Being Linked To The Chicago Bears

Ahead of his first NFL start on Thursday Night Football, many on social media are joking about how crazy looking Davis Mills' neck is

The Chicago Bears made it clear that they had no interest in running it back with Mitchell Trubisky or Nick Foles next season. They were initially reported to be interested in big ticket guys Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson. But in typical Bears fashion, they ended up settling for signing Andy Dalton in free agency.

While the assumption is that the Bears are going to move forward with Dalton as their quarterback, it would make sense if the team drafts a young quarterback on Thursday who could maybe take over under center at one point in the near future.

According to reports, that guy could be Stanford’s Davis Mills.

Davis Mills confused some people when he announced he was leaving Stanford for the NFL Draft. At first, Mills was projected as a mid-round draft pick. Now, his decision is starting to make more sense, as he is shooting up a lot of experts’ draft boards.

If the Bears draft Davis Mills on Thursday, it’s bound to be an unpopular pick among Chicago Bears fans. He’s a pocket passer, who seems pretty limited in an NFL game that’s now centered around speed. Bears GM Ryan Pace also has no support from the fan base when it comes to the draft, and with good reason. Pace famously drafted Trubisky over Patrick Mahomes and Watson in 2017, and the organization has yet to recover.

His next big gamble could be on Stanford’s Davis Mills.
