Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz had a well-known scare in 2019 when he was shot in his home country, the Dominican Republic.

Since then, authorities in the DR had been searching for their lone suspect, Luis Alfredo Rivas-Clase. But on Thursday, it was revealed that the suspect himself was found dead.

Fans were immediately speculating about David Ortiz’s possible involvement in the death of Rivas-Clase.

David Ortiz is gearing up for the postseason, where he’ll continue his job on the set of Fox Sports.

It’s unclear what the exact situation between him and Luis Alfredo Rivas-Clase is, but it appears that someone in the Dominican Republic took matters into there own hands.
