Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard has been a stalwart for a top-tier defensive unit for the past several years. But thanks to a lot of changeover on the offensive side of the ball, the Colts are still unable to get over the hump.

Last offseason, the team figured to be bringing in a stable option at QB in Carson Wentz. But after an up and down season in Indy, it was announced on Wednesday that Wentz was being traded to the Washington Commanders.

Shortly after the Carson Wentz deal was announced, Darius Leonard took to social media to air his frustrations.

“Here we go again! About to be 5 years with the Colts and 5 different QBs! Thank you Carson for everything this year my guy! Wish you nothing but the best,” he said on Twitter.

While the rumor mill is churning on who will be Darius Leonard’s next quarterback, the most common linkage is towards the Colts deciding to trade for Niners quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

Carson Wentz had a good year on paper in 2021, throwing for 2,563 yards to go along with 27 touchdowns and just seven interceptions.

However, Wentz made some crucial mistakes at the ends of games, and was just awful in the team’s last game against the lowly Jaguars.

Now, Carson Wentz will try to provide Washington with some stability, while Darius Leonard will hope to get some more years out of whoever Indy turns to next.
