Like many people, Damian Lillard is fed up with the suspension handed down to U.S. Olympics qualifier Sha’Carri Richardson for testing positive for marijuana.

When the news came out late Thursday night, many fans were wondering why Michael Phelps never got suspended from the Olympics, but Sha’Carri Richardson did.

On Thursday night, Damian Lillard chimed in to share his thoughts on the Sha’Carri Richardson debate.

“This that bullshit,” Lillard said on Twitter.

While Damian Lillard is sharing the thoughts of many Americans, Sha’Carri Richardson joined the Today Show on Friday to take ownership for the failed weed test.

“I want to take responsibility for my actions,” Richardson said. “I know what I did and what I’m not supposed to do. I know what I’m not allowed to do and I still made that decision. Not making an excuse or looking for any empathy in my case but being in that position of my life and finding out something like that – something that I would say has impacted my life positively and negatively in my life when it comes to dealing with the relationship with my mother – that definitely was a heavy topic on me.

“To have to go out into the world and put on a face — who am I to tell you how to cope?”

Props to Sha’Carri Richardson for owning up, but I’m with Damian Lillard. This is some bullshit. Let the woman run.
