It Might Be Time To Start Worrying About Dak Prescott’s Latest Injury

A Dallas Cowboys writer was trashed all over the web after claiming the team should bring in Marcus Mariota to give Dak Prescott some competition

After missing most of last season with a leg injury, Dak Prescott is on the shelf with yet another injury. This time, it’s Prescott’s shoulder that has been nagging him.

Prescott has missed all of Training Camp this week and did not make an appearance in last night’s opening preseason game.

So far, Dak and the Cowboys have maintained that they’re not overly concerned with the injury, but many fans and analysts think the team is covering something up.

On “Get Up” this morning, Rob Ninkovich said he believes it’s time to hit the panic button on Dak Prescott’s injury.

During the Fox broadcast of the preseason game, Troy Aikman also said that he believes the Cowboys are covering up Dak Prescott’s injury a little bit.

“The Cowboys are downplaying it, but I think when your franchise quarterback is missing the amount of time he’s missing, I tend to think it’s probably a little bit more significant than what they have led on,” Aikman said on the Fox broadcast, via Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com.

Dak Prescott did a live interview during the game where he spoke on how he’s feeling with the injury.

“We’re being cautious,” Prescott said on Fox. “We’re taking it day by day. Obviously, it’s five weeks before the season opener, so I’ve got a lot of time and I’m going to use that time to get myself ready for that game.”
