It’s been a tough year for us all, but even more, for Gaucho Ronaldinho. The ex-Ballon d’Or holder was said to have returned a positive Covid-19 test result on Sunday, and is now self-isolating in Belo Horizonte.

Earlier this year, Ronaldinho alongside his brother Roberto Assis, were jailed in Paraguay after allegedly entering the country with fake passports. You’d have imagined I was kidding after reading that, right?

And now, Covid. Damn Covid. Of all people, and it chose this man. The one man who made us all fall in love with the game. I imagine the virus should have been humane enough to spare the Samba star after he’s had to serve a whole freaking 32 days behind bars. OK, this virus is officially a monster. Can the end of 2020 come too soon for Ronaldinho now? Oh no.

There isn’t any much of information regarding his health status at the moment, but I’m almost certain Dinho is smiling in quarantine. Get well soon, Champ.
