On Tuesday morning, it was reported that Aaron Rodgers was set to return to the Green Bay Packers.

With Pat McAfee reporting that his good buddy, Aaron Rodgers, had made up his mind that he was returning home to Green Bay, many other insiders were claiming he had a deal in place to become the highest-paid player in the league.

Pat McAfee immediately chimed in to slam the reports on Rodgers’ contract.

Regardless of the contractual mix-up, it appears as though there’s no grey area about Aaron Rodgers returning to the Packers on some sort of extension.

For the past two offseasons, we’ve heard Rodgers lament his relationship with the Packers when declaring that he’s unsure if he wants to remain with the team in the short term.

Finally, we have our conclusion. Aaron Rodgers will be a Packer for the foreseeable future. But we’ll figure out the cap space ramifications in the coming days.
