FS1 talk show host Colin Cowherd is one of the most successful in the business. But while his show might have a large following, many understand that he can completely flip his takes with the best of them

This was the case with Patriots rookie Mac Jones. When he was drafted in the first round prior to the season, Cowherd was adamant that it wouldn’t work.

“Mac Jones, good Lord, Mel Kiper’s got to slow down on this,” Cowherd said originally. Mac Jones ain’t gonna work, folks. It’s not gonna work. You just gotta come to terms with it. It’s not gonna work.”

But now that Jones has the Patriots atop the AFC standings, Colin has completely changed his tune – now saying that we’re watching a young Tom Brady at work.

“Folks, young Mac Jones looks like young Tom Brady,” Cowherd said. “Once you find the right quarterback, it just gets easier…Mac is clearly good enough to win a Super Bowl.”

Someone on Twitter caught Colin Cowherd in the act:

Colin Cowherd has done similar things with his hot-takes before. But this Mac Jones 180 might be his most glaring one yet.

Despite throwing just three passes on Monday night due to windy Buffalo conditions, Jones looks like a long term answer for Bill Belichick. And he currently sits as a front runner to win the Rookie of the Year.

Obviously, Tom Brady was able to win it all after filling in for an injured Drew Bledsoe in his first year. And with the Patriots looking like a contenders, many are wondering: is history repeating itself 22 years later?

Colin Cowherd believes Mac Jones has some shades of the GOAT in him now. And we’re about to find out what the young Alabama product has in him for big games in the playoffs.
