Hue Jackson just can’t win.

Former Cleveland Browns Head Coach Hue Jackson was never paid to lose games, although he didn’t actually come outright and say that he was paid,  Jackson did insinuate that was the case.

Jackson claimed via tweets that Haslam “was happy while we kept losing” and “Trust me it was a good number” that he was being paid to lose.

Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam heard  about Hue’s accusations, and told Knox News that Hue is just trying to cover up for all his losing on the field.

Via Knox News:

“Hue Jackson has never ever accepted any responsibility for our record during that time period,” Haslam said in an exclusive interview. “He’s been masterful at pointing fingers but has never accepted any blame. I have accepted a ton of blame, and rightfully so.

“There are a lot of things I could’ve done better. Hue has never accepted blame for one thing.”

Haslam is a University of Tennessee athletics donor and chairman of the board for the Pilot Company, based in Knoxville, Tennessee.

If Hue hopes to land another NFL gig, it’s probably not going to ever happen, especially now that he tried to throw the Browns under the bus.

Hue is currently Grambling State’s head coach.

His NFL coaching record stands at 11-44-1.
