For the first time in over a month, we have a Christian McCaffrey sighting. The star rb has suited up for today’s Carolina Panthers practice.

While McCaffrey did appear at practice, it doesn’t seem like he did a whole lot. He even donned a red jersey, which means injured.

Veteran running back Mike Davis has filled in admirably in the absence of Christian McCaffrey. But you’d expect Carolina can’t wait to get their dynamic playmaker back. Davis also suffered an injury in the Saints game, but appears to be fine.

The Panthers have surprised some people. With low expectations, Matt Rhule’s team has clung to some relevance. They’re currently 3-4, and in 3rd place in a tough NFC South. The Panthers are scheduled to play the Falcons on Thursday.

With the shortened week, I’d expect the Panthers to hold off until next weekend before they bring back McCaffrey. With that being said, it was great to see him back at practice today. If the Panthers are looking to make an unexpected run, they’ll need McCaffrey to be their catalyst once again.
