The Chris Collinsworth slide is back!

Perhaps there is no better introduction to NFL football than Chris Collinsworth sliding his way into an NBC broadcast with Al Michaels.

The iconic slide has been an internet sensation that Collinsworth has fully embraced. So much so, that prior to the season opener tonight, Michaels called for him by telling him to come “sliding back in here” for their pregame segment.

Sure enough, fans were completely stoked to see the Chris Collinsworth slide back in our lives.

Love him or hate him, you have to admit that the Chris Collinworth slide is one of the more stupidly fun traditions we have in sports. And if you can’t embrace that, then I can’t help you.

So far, the game between the Buccaneers and Cowboys is living up to the billing.

And NFL fans were rightfully pumped up when they saw Chris Collinsworth slide his way back into our living rooms yet again.
