There is something special going on with the Chicago White Sox on the South Side of Chicago.

After a thrilling series against the Tampa Bay Rays (where Tampa ace when down with a long injury), the White Sox have taken over the mantle as the team with the best record in the entire MLB at 43-25.

On Wednesday afternoon, it was catcher Yasmani Grandal who was the latest member of the Sox who played the role of hero, sending a walk-off double down the right field line in the 10th inning.

After getting the win in Tuesday’s game against the Rays, Dallas Keuchel said that the White Sox star-studded rotation was the best that he has ever been a part of (yes, including the one he had with the World Series Astros team).

“As a whole from five starters and seven or eight relievers that we have, it’s the best that I’ve ever seen,” said Keuchel via Chicago Sun-Times.

Following the series with the Rays, Sox fans swarmed social media with their exuberance.

While White Sox fans are feeling the vibes of having a real competitor, Grandal knows it means nothing. At least not yet.

Some people around baseball might be surprised that the Chicago White Sox have the best record and best run-differential in the MLB, but the people inside of their clubhouse are not.

The White Sox are exactly where they expected to be on June 16th, and I wouldn’t expect the train to slow down any time soon. This team is scary good.
