Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen was rumored to be in a package that would send quarterback Carson Wentz to the Bears. According to Natalie Egenolf, a radio personality in Philly, the trade would include Cohen, Nick Foles, and the Bears first rounder in the draft.

According to Tarik Cohen, the speculation that he is being dealt simply isn’t true.

“Lemme clear this up real quick . Just got off the phone wit my HC and GM , bears fans we locked in. Don’t worry,” Tarik Cohen wrote on his Twitter. “People say anything nowadays man .”

Sideaction’s Latest:

After a down year in 2019, Tarik Cohen suffered a season-ending ACL tear in the early going of the 2020 season. At one point, Cohen was viewed as one of the best play makers on the Chicago Bears offense. It would be a huge two year drop off to see him go from rising star–to throw-in trade piece for an average (at best) quarterback.

Luckily for Chicago Bears fans, it looks like Tarik Cohen is staying put (at least for now). Maybe the Eagles are trying to pry Cohen away, which has led to a potentially snag in the would-be blockbuster trade.

It’s still feels like a Carson Wentz to the Bears trade is coming at any second. It just won’t involve Tarik Cohen.
