With the entire city of Chicago calling for his head, Bears coach Matt Nagy did himself no favors during his Monday press conference by saying that quarterbacks Andy Dalton, Justin Fields and Nick Foles were under consideration for this Sunday’s game against the Lions.

Andy Dalton has been dealing with a bone bruise that left him out of last week’s game – where Justin Fields was doomed by a dismal offensive line and poor game plan by Nagy during an embarrassing loss to the Browns.
Fields also had x-rays done on his throwing hand after being mauled by the Cleveland defensive front, but those came back negative.
Nevertheless, Bears fans are convinced that Matt Nagy might be insane enough to turn to the wildly unpopular Nick Foles against the Lions this week.
Every #Bears fan should brace themselves for Matt Nagy announcing Nick Foles as the starter for Sunday. And if I had to guess, he'll stick with Foles until Dalton is healthy.

I swear… If the #Bears think they have some bad PR right now, Nagy announcing Nick Foles as the Week 3 starter would bring things to a whole new level of outrage.
Not saying it’ll happen but Nagy calling yet another non-scheduled presser today has to have a reason behind it.

The Bears were shopping Nick Foles in the offseason. But couldn’t find a team that for the veteran. So he began the season as the third string quarterback behind Andy Dalton and Justin Fields.
During his time as Mitchell Trubisky’s replacement in 2020, Foles proved he wasn’t the answer to bring a dormant offense to life.
Unfortunately for Bears fans, that answer just might not exist in a Matt Nagy ran offense. But despite all that, turning to Nick Foles would be a colossal mistake given the circumstances.
And Chicago might just take to the streets to riot.
