Cardinals Pitcher Jack Flaherty Has Savage Response After Winning Arbitration Case

St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Jack Flaherty feels he has been vastly underpaid given the production he has given his team over the past few years. The Cardinals and Flaherty couldn’t avoid an arbitration hearing, and Flaherty ended up winning the decision.

After the case was finished, Jack Flaherty took to Twitter to share his feelings on the matter.

Flaherty didn’t stop there, either.

You think theres some bad blood between Jack Flaherty and the Cardinals ace? Sure looks like it.

Flaherty is coming off a down year in the shortened 2020 season. The big right-hander finished the season 4-3 with a 4.91 ERA. It was a huge drop off from when he posted a 2.75 ERA and a league leading 0.97 WHIP in 2019. Simply put, Flaherty remains one of the best young pitchers in the game despite what happened during the COVID season.

By losing to Jack Flaherty, the Cardinals took their first arbitration loss since 1994.
