Will the Falcons be shipping star receiver Calvin Ridley in the offseason?

Ridley spent the majority of the 2021 season sidelined after leaving the team due to personal issues. And it has been reported that the receiver would like to move on from Atlanta.

Obviously, Ridley is a true #1 receiver on any team, and would undoubtedly be highly-coveted on the trade market.

When speaking on where Calvin Ridley might land, NFL insider Benjamin Allbright revealed that he believes Bill Belichick and the Patriots will come calling in the offseason.

Calvin Ridley would fill a lot of holes for the Patriots. Over the past few years (since Tom Brady was still the QB in New England), it’s been an Achilles heel for the Pats they just simply lack offensive firepower for their quarterback.

And during the playoff loss to the Bills, it was evident that they need to ramp up their efforts to acquire playmakers on the offensive side of the ball if they want to keep up in today’s NFL.

Bill Belichick has made a career out of bringing in talented players who have had enough of their situation elsewhere. And perhaps Calvin Ridley will be the latest weapon to embrace “The Patriot Way”.
