Cal McNair Speaks On Deshaun Watson Situation

Houston Texans owner Cal McNair reportedly 'hates' Deshaun Watson at this point with a trade this season looking more and more likely

Houston Texans owner Cal McNair has stayed out of the spotlight for the whole lawsuit surrounding quarterback Deshaun Watson. It’s been a little bit of a whirlwind for McNair, who was answering questions about the quarterback’s desire to be traded away from Houston earlier in the offseason.

Today, McNair finally spoke on the many sexual assault lawsuits against Deshaun Watson. He didn’t have much to say.

“I really don’t have anything new,” McNair said, per Texans insider John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. “There’s ongoing investigations, and we really can’t comment until they run their course.”

The Houston Texans picked up Tyrod Taylor earlier in the offseason, and drafted Stanford’s Davis Mills in the third round. Should Watson be unavailable, they’ll have some options to take over under center.

Cal McNair has to know that his team won’t win many games next season, but the long-term ramifications of the Deshaun Watson lawsuits might be more worrisome for the Houston Texans.
