It seems like during every March Madness there is an unexpected kid who emerges out of the woodworks and completely wins over sports fans all across the country. This year, that guy is Syracuse guard Buddy Boeheim.

Buddy, the son of long-time coach Jim Boeheim has dominated the early going of the NCAA Tournament with a plus basketball IQ to go along with an incredible ability to shoot the three ball.

After scoring over 30 points in the team’s first round game against SDSU, Boeheim got off to a slow start against West Virginia. He had just three points heading into the locker room at halftime. And then, Boeheim completely erupted, scoring 22 points in the second half to help send 11-seed Syracuse to the Sweet 16.

Social media is blowing up with Buddy Boeheim’s performance.

With the win, Buddy Boeheim and the Syracuse Orange have set up a Sweet 16 matchup against the winner of Rutgers-Houston.

It might be in everyones best interest not to bet against the Boeheim family right now. This team looks dangerous.
