Is the Bryson DeChambeau Brooks Koepka feud finally over?

DeChambeau’s coach, Mike Schy, has said, “Bryson wants it to end, he wants to move on”, and it seems that Koepka has agreed to a truce.

Apparently the two sat down for dinner to hash things out.

“A lot of this social media stuff has definitely been driven by external factors, not necessarily us two,” DeChambeau said. “We had some great conversations in Tour Championship week [three weeks ago] when we had dinner. And then this week as well. I sat down and had dinner with him last night and it was fine. I think there may be something fun coming up here moving forward, but I won’t speak too much more on that.”

DeChambeau even hinted the new friends may even be paired together at the Ryder Cup:

The feud between DeChambeau and Koepka initially began as a friendly rivalry in 2019 when Koepka expressed frustration with DeChambeau’s slow playing style.

One standout moment was back in Jan. 2020 when Bryson commented on Koepka’s physique during a Twitch livestream.

After hearing DeChambeau’s comments, Koepka responded on Twitter:

In July 2020, after DeChambeau had a confrontation with a CBS cameraman, Koepka appeared to take a shot at his rival on social media:

It was more of the same ever since.

The 2021 Ryder Cup will be held from Sept. 24-26 at Whistling Straits in Haven, Wisconsin.

We’ll have to wait and see how friendly they really are.
