The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are planting their flag this week on COVID measures as Bruce Arians announced that the Bucs will fine unvaccinated players $14K if they don’t follow COVID protocols this season.

Earlier this week, all 32 NFL teams received a memo regarding the new COVID procedures this season, one which includes that if a game can not be rescheduled for COVID reasons then that team will forfeit the game.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, coach Bruce Arians said this week the team will fine any unvaccinated player $14,000 on the spot for every time he isn’t wearing a mask or is breaking a protocol.

Here is part of the memo that was sent to NFL teams earlier this week regarding players that are vaccinated and players that are not vaccinated.

As anyone can see, the restrictions are much heavier for unvaccinated players as the NFL tries to crack down on rescheduling conflicts and hopes to avoid any missed games this season.

None of this news from Arians is shocking as he went on record to voice his displeasure with players who don’t want the vaccine.

We have already seen many players share their thoughts on the vaccine and how some have 0 interest in getting the shot, such as Cole Beasley.

It remains to be seen what sort of impact COVID will have on the upcoming season, but it looks like most teams are trying to prevent any sort of outbreak.
