Bruce Arians Has Stern Message For Players Who Won’t Get Vaccinated

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians has a strong message to players when it comes to taking the COVID-19 vaccine

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians is not afraid to speak his mind, and he’s letting his opinion be known when it comes to the COVID-19 vaccine.

Two day after Washington defensive end Montez Sweat called out his team for hosting a vaccine expert at minicamp, Arians has set up a vaccine station at the Bucs’ facility for any players, coach, team personnel member, or their families.

He hopes this move will get most of the people on Tampa to take the shot.

“There’s going to be a long line over there right now,” Bruce Arians said, looking toward the location of the clinic after Thursday’s minicamp session via Around The NFL. “I better have a (long line) after today. We were pretty short up until now, but hopefully we have a pretty good line today.”

Bruce Arians hopes his efforts will get the team to over the 85% vaccination number needed to allow his team the opportunity fo relaxed protocols.

“If you want to go back to normal, get vaccinated,” Arians said Thursday. “Eighty-five percent is what we’re shooting for, and I think everybody is tired of meeting out here and eating outside and doing all those things we had to do last year. It’s still a personal choice, but I don’t see a reason not to be vaccinated.”

Bruce Arians’ comments come as the NFL appears to be divided on the topic. Other than Sweat, players such as Sam Darnold and Josh Allen have also shared reluctant feelings towards taking the vaccine.

Hopefully the vast majority of players side with Bruce Arians on the topic of vaccines.
