The Denver Broncos are just one of many teams who seem to have thrown their hat in the Deshaun Watson ring.

According to Troy Renck of ABC 7 in Denver, the Broncos will pursue Watson if he does become available in a trade.

“#Broncos QB situation will dominate offseason discussion. They will pursue Watson if #Texans decide to trade him. They are not in on Wentz. Lock has handled noise well, working out, focused on having a great offseason. He understands he has to get better to keep/win job. #Denver7″ Renck wrote on his Twitter on Monday.

The Broncos have not made a decision on whether they will move forward with Drew Lock as their quarterback for next season. While Lock has shown some flashes here and there, he hasn’t really impressed during his time under center for the Broncos. The theme of mediocre-to-poor quarterback play has persisted for John Elway’s Broncos ever since Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset after winning the Super Bowl in 2016.

Elway hired general manager George Payton this offseason, so he should have some help finding another QB if they do choose to move on from Lock. Deshaun Watson would obviously be a slam dunk move for a franchise in desperate need of filling the most prominent position in all of sports.

Like many teams, Denver would be overjoyed to land Deshaun Watson. They may not be a top suitor, though.
