WNBA star Brittney Griner has been in some trouble for a long while now.
Over the weekend, it was reported that Griner has been detained in Russia for about a week after being caught with hash oil while traveling back to play for her Russian professional team.

On Monday, Brittney Griner’s wife, Cherelle Griner, took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message about her current situation.
“We love you, babe!” Cherelle Griner wrote. “People say “stay busy.” Yet, there’s not a task in this world that could keep any of us from worrying about you. My heart, our hearts, are all skipping beats every day that goes by. I miss your voice. I miss your presence. You’re our person! There are no words to express this pain. I’m hurting, we’re hurting. We await the day to love on you as a family.”
Brittney Griner will undoubtedly hope to get back to home soil before too long. And perhaps it’s time for our government to get involved in order to bring the star center home.
For now, the Russia government insists they are still holding Griner due to an investigation on “large-scale transportation of drugs.”
We’ll continue to look for any and all updates on the Brittney Griner situation.
