The Green Bay Packers have been extremely fortunate to go from one Hall of Fame quarterback to another with Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. But for the first time since the early 1990s, Green Bay may be forced to turn to another QB.

Prior to this season, Rodgers asked to be traded from the Packers. But when push came to shove, he chose to give it one last run. And they were considered the best team in the NFC all season before their disappointing upset loss to the Niners in last weekend’s Divisional Round.

Now, Aaron Rodgers remains mum on his future with the team. But Brett Favre has a hunch that we’ve seen the last of the superstar in a Packers uniform.

“I think we may have seen the last of Aaron in Green Bay,” Favre said during an appearance on  “The Opening Kickoff” on WNSP-FM 105.5 in Mobile on Tuesday . “I don’t know that for certain. It’s just a gut feeling. He may try his hand somewhere else now.”

Aaron Rodgers proved, once again, in 2021 that he’s still one of the best players in the entire NFL. And when they’re clicking, the Packers are capable of looking like a legitimate Super Bowl contender. But after so many years in one place, Rodgers might just be seeking a different challenge with different people.

Earlier in the week, Brett Favre was singing the praises of Rodgers when talking about his future.

“I just think that his football IQ is as good as anybody’s that ever played the game. Aaron’s going to shatter every record out there if he continues to play. He’s better now than he’s ever been and shows no signs of slowing down.”

The Aaron Rodgers drama will surely drag on all offseason — just as it did last year.
