Bradley Beal Sends Message To John Wall On Social Media

Bradley Beal and John Wall thaw tensions after Russell Westbrook trade NBA offseason

28 February 2015: Washington Wizards guard John Wall (2) congratulates guard Bradley Beal (3) at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. where the Washington Wizards defeated the Detroit Pistons, 99-95 to end a six game losing streak.

Throughout their time together, there was always a reported tension between Bradley Beal and John Wall. In fact, it was reported that Beal was a driving force behind Wall getting traded to Houston for Russell Westbrook in a deal that reshaped the NBA once again. Beal has always denied these reports, and he’ll continue to do so even with Wall gone.

Today, Bradley Beal sent a seemingly heartfelt message to his now former teammate, John Wall, via Instagram.

“Thank you!! Can’t say those two words enough. You accepted me as young pup in HS and then for 8 amazing years in DC! Wall/Beal hate each other was the biggest amount of BS we endured, but you and I both know the REAL! You are my brother 4L and that bond is way bigger than this game we play! We had amazing memories that’ll always be cherished and never forgotten! The city of DC loves you and appreciates every ounce of the blood, sweat, and tears you gave to the game and the community. Your works and name will continue in the nations capital. H-Town, y’all are getting a real solid brother!!” Beal wrote.

Look, we’ll never really know if all the reports are true about the growing disdain between Beal and Wall. My best guess is that there is something to the two NBA stars not loving playing together, but I also think it’s possible that the story was exaggerated by the media.

Beal and Wall will now have the chance to prove themselves without the other guy breathing down their neck. We’ll see if Beal pairs better with Russell Westbrook than he did with Wall. The NBA hot stove never cools.
