After a dominant Game one win by the Boston Bruins against the Islanders, they found themselves locked in an overtime thriller in Game 2. After the Bruins came back from down 3-1 to force OT, the Islanders ended up prevailing on a breakaway goal by Casey Cizikas.

In a somewhat surprising move, Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy had some critical comments about the performance of goaltender Tuukka Rask during Game 2.

Maybe Bruce Cassidy knows how to get the most out of Tuukka Rask, and that’s what this was all about. But to even slightly blame Tuukka for losing Game 2 is an absurd move.

This dude is a Stanley Cup champion, Vezina Trophy winner, and widely beloved by all Bostonians. Not only was Cassidy wrong to throw Tuukka Rask under the bus, but he had to know it was going to be an unpopular quote for his fan base.
