Clutch Sports CEO Rich Paul called on the 76ers to respect Ben Simmons' mental health after the point guard continues to say he's not ready to play

For a while, Philly sports fans will have to take all the Ben Simmons jokes after the point guard’s dismal postseason resulted in the 76ers getting upset by the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Semis.

On Wednesday, the Washington Nationals had to get in on the Ben Simmons fun on the internet.

In the Phillies-Nats series, Philadelphia manager Joe Girardi got into it with the Nats dugout after repeatedly asking umpires to check Nationals ace Max Scherzer for “sticky substances”. After Girardi left his dugout to confront Nationals coaches, he was ejected from the game.

On Wednesday, the Nationals social media team used a Kyle Schwarber game-tying 3-run home run as ammo to troll the entire city of Philadelphia about Ben Simmons.

“Game-tying 3 pointers in Philly this year:

Ben Simmons: 0

Kyle Schwarber: 1,” the Nationals tweeted out.

Too soon??

Ben Simmons has to know that it’s probably best for him to stay off social media for a good while. Or better yet, how about just learn to shoot the basketball this offseason to shut up your haters?

I guess if it was that easy, Ben Simmons would have done it already. Nevertheless, I’ll expect Daryl Morey to deal Simmons this offseason.

Maybe a change of scenery will be good for Simmons, as he’s now public enemy #1 in Philly.
