More Ben Simmons drama, just in case you haven’t had enough yet.

ESPN reported that the point guard is not mentally ready to play right now, but especially not with the Sixers. “Not now and not ever in Philadelphia,” ESPN senior writer Ramona Shelburne wrote.

The reports also suggest Ben Simmons is upset at Joel Embiid for him blaming Simmons for playoff losses.

“According to sources close to Simmons, he’s upset that Embiid seemed to blame him for last season’s playoff loss, when Simmons did not blame Embiid for Embiid’s poor showing in the playoffs against the Toronto Raptors in 2019.”

Twitter reacted to the news:

Simmons has continued to work out during the season in multiple different settings, all separate from the Sixers. However, as reported by ESPN, Simmons returned to the Sixers practice facility.

The 2022 NBA Trade Deadline is less than two weeks away, and Simmons’ future in the NBA remains unclear.

This Simmons drama shows no signs of getting resolved anytime soon.
