A high school boys’ basketball coach was killed when he attempted to rob a drug cartel’s stash house according to reports. According to the report, Coach Barney Harris and his brother-in-law went to the house in the early hours of April 8th. There, he and his brother-in-law exchanged gunshots with members of a drug cartel they were allegedly attempting to rob.
Harris was killed during the shootout.
“It was believed it was a home invasion for money and drugs,” Johnson said. “Numerous guns and firearms were used. It was almost like an old western shootout because there were projectiles going into the trailer, coming out of the trailer, hitting other trailers in that particular trailer park.”

Harris was hired to teach high school Spanish and also coached track in addition to being the boys’ varsity basketball coach.
Sounds like this coach thought he was the second coming of Walter White.
Never mess with the cartel.
