It’s been a long haul to get to this point for MLB. But we’re now on the cusp of their shortened season starting, assuming COVID doesn’t submarine all of our sports plans. For the fans who sat on the edge of their seat waiting for an agreement, there’ll be nothing sweeter than to see the boys back on the diamond. The little things are always what makes baseball great. And I’m sure many a baseball aficionado out there will be amped up just to hear the crack of Bryce Harper’s bat in his return to Phillies practice:

That pop. The sweet swing. If it were possible, I’m sure many MLB and Phillies fans would pump that directly into their veins if they could. Nevermind that Bryce Harper during batting practice likely has just as low of an interest in a frozen rope single as he normally does in a game. At this point, baseball fans are shaking on a corner and they just need a taste. And Bryce is here like Marlo on The Wire with the best hookup they can find right now.

So enjoy this free hit of baseball methodone courtesy of Bryce Harper. You’ll have to pay for the next one.
