Barstool Sports Is Making A Run At Paul Pierce After He Was Fired By ESPN

A video of a seemingly hammered Paul Pierce harassing a cocktail waitress at a poker table is making it's way through social media as fans react

01 February 2013: Boston Celtics small forward Paul Pierce (34) rests during the Boston Celtics 97-84 victory over the Orlando Magic at the TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Former NBA superstar Paul Pierce was in the news this week after he posted a video of himself partying with a bunch of strippers on social media. After his antics, Pierce was fired by ESPN.  He didn’t seem to mind being job-less for the time being.

Now, it looks like a front-runner has emerged to land Paul Pierce. Barstool Sports president Dave Portnoy has been courting Pierce.

Portnoy also talked about his desire to land Pierce during a live stream on Tuesday.

“Listen, Paul Pierce, I’m gonna make a run at Paul Pierce,” Portnoy said. “I’m gonna make a run at his a–. I reached out. Contact has been made. He got fired from ESPN for having strippers and blunts in the background of a livestream. Whatever, I don’t give a f— about that. We’d love to have him.”

Barstool Sports seems like it would be a great fit for Paul Pierce. He would be allowed to party with strippers as much as he wants, and he’d have a young generation at his disposal.

If Pierce does land with Barstool, he’d join fellow prominent athlete Deion Sanders, as well as some lower-level former players who have decided to join the popular company.

I’d expect Paul Pierce to have a contract with Barstool Sports very soon.
