Antonio Brown Teases A Potential Ravens Deal Following Lamar Jackson Comments

Troubled star receiver Antonio Brown gave a hint on a potential Baltimore Ravens signing after gassing up Lamar Jackson earlier in the week

Troubled receiver Antonio Brown is clearly trying to get the attention of the Baltimore Ravens.

AB was granted his outright release from the Buccaneers after throwing a fit during the Jets game. By Brown’s account, the team was trying to get him to play through an ankle injury. And according to the Bucs, the receiver was refusing to go on the field because he wasn’t getting the ball.

In the end, Antonio Brown is back in a familiar position — hoping to latch on with another contender.

Earlier in the week, he declared that he wants to team up with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens next season.

“Action Jackson,” Brown said when asked if he wants to play with Lamar. “Let’s give Lamar Jackson his flowers. … Shout-out Lamar Jackson. That’s it. Lamar Jackson is a great quarterback. Not only him throwing the ball, the dynamic of him playing, the excitement.”

On Tuesday, Antonio Brown followed up his comments on Lamar Jackson by posting a picture of himself in a Ravens uniform.

Pairing Antonio Brown with the likes of Lamar Jackson, Marquise Brown, Mark Andrews, and a returning JK Dobbins sounds pretty dynamic; in theory. But the main question you have to ask yourself if you’re John Harbaugh and the Ravens management remains: how much of a distraction will this dude be?

Not only did AB have a very public outburst when leaving the Bucs, but he’s now going on a whole media tour, starting a collaboration with Kanye West, and doing everything else to keep his name in the news.

At the end of the day, Lamar Jackson is going to need Antonio Brown to buy in to the team’s culture. In the past five years, Tom Brady has been the only QB who could get that out of AB, and even that came to a contentious end.
