Is Adam Gase poised to make his return to the NFL?

The former Jets coach has been spending time away from the league after he was fired during last offseason. But now, it looks like we might be seeing the return of the exiled Gase.

According to some reports, the patriots are interested in hiring Adam Gase to replace Josh McDaniels as their offensive coordinator.

Adam Gase’s tenure with the Jets was an utter disaster. He came in to try to “fix” quarterback Sam Darnold but ended up getting quite the opposite result.

Gase’s offense ranked at the bottom of the league in both of his seasons in New York. And he continued his reputation as one of the worst head coaches in recent memory.

After Josh McDaniels left the Patriots OC job for the Raiders head coach job, it seems like Bill Belichick is looking to bring in someone with experience to replace him. But he better be careful before pitting young Mac Jones with Adam Gase, considering the track record.
