Aaron Rodgers Seemingly Blames His Teammates For Packers’ Struggles

Aaro Aaron Rodgers is passing the buck.

The Green Bay Packers have been very average this season, in fact they are currently one game under .500.  Green Bay currently sits at 3-4 on the season and just suffered an embarrassing loss to the Washington Commanders,  who were starting backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke. Even though the Packers offense is helmed by two-time reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers, the Packers have statistically been one of the league’s worst offenses.

Their 18.3 points per game rank 23rd in the entire NFL.  Green Bay’s 221.3 pass yards per game place them 18th in the league.

When speaking about his team’s performance on his regular weekly spot, Rodgers told Pat Mcafee that he graded well for the game. Rodgers’ numbers in the 23-21 loss to the Commanders weren’t miserable. But they weren’t exactly impressive either. Aaron Rodgers went 23-of-35 for 194 yards and two touchdowns. Good numbers but not good enough to carry your team to a win.  Not to mention the Packers are paying him to do more.

But when Pat McAfee asked Rodgers about his and his team’s struggles, the quarterback didn’t seem interested in taking much blame for his team’s struggle,  rather opting to blame everyone but himself.

Asked by @PatMcAfeeShow about his own performace, Rodgers said that QB coach Tom Clements gave Rodgers his highest single-game grade yet this season in Sunday's loss against the Commanders.

Aaron Rodgers also suggests that players who are making mental mistakes shouldn’t be playing as much, which seems to be a shot at his coaching staff.  Rodgers is not a good loser, and watching him point the finger at everyone but himself is probably the reason he has only one ring. He’s still asking for more help too. 

Hard to imagine this doesn’t irk some of his teammates.
