Aaron Rodgers Explains Exactly How He Felt After Packers Drafted Jordan Love

The Green Bay Packers disrespected Aaron Rodgers in the 2020 NFL draft when they decided to take Jordan Love with the 26th pick.  They definitely had some other positions that needed to be filled, but still went with a QB. Rodgers has never spoken about what he was really thinking about the Packers trying to draft his replacement. Now he’s talking. In an interview with Michael Silver of NFL.com, Rodgers articulated his thoughts on the subject.

“You know, especially after the draft, it was important for me mentally to get to a place of freedom with that — freedom from bitterness, freedom from expectations, freedom from future thinking — and I feel like I did,” Rodgers said. “It gave me a really good peace and calm about the season and to be able to focus. I’ve been trying just to have a lot of gratitude every day at work and to enjoy all the little moments that much more.”

Rodgers looks as good as ever, and if he keeps this up, he can play at a high level for another 4-5 years. Whatever the Packers did by drafting Love, it worked in spades.
