Aaron Rodgers and his coffee mug are trending.

The Green Bay Packers Quarterback issued an apology to Shailene Woodley, basically for the residual backlash she had to deal with over COVID vaccine stance.

During an appearance on SiriusXM Radio’s The Pat McAfee Show yesterday, the Green Bay Packers quarterback accepted that he owed an apology to actress Woodley and other “loved ones” for being caught in the “shrapnel” of his backlash.

“One thing that I am sad about and definitely apologetic is I didn’t realize in the midst of the COVID conversations how much my situation was affecting my loved ones and my people. I didn’t realize the kind of shrapnel that was being flaked off of what I felt like were the bullets coming at me because I was too locked in on me and defending myself and trying to get a message out.”

“I never wanted to be divisive in this whole thing, I really didn’t,” the California-born sports ace went on. “The issue is polarizing, I get that and I know there’s a lot of fear involved around that, but my intention was never to be divisive.”

One moment during the interview caught the attention of the internet.

Social media detectives noticed a coffee mug Rodgers held during his interview. This is the same one used by Woodley in a 2020 Instagram post.

The Mug Reads: “F*ck that”

There’s also that laugh in the background, which Aaron claimed was the TV, not his possible fiancé enjoying all of the craziness surrounding their relationship.

In Touch Weekly posted the couple had split, which set off all the reports:

“It’s over! Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers split and called off their engagement, multiple sources exclusively tell In Touch.

“While Shailene is supportive of Aaron’s career, he put football first, and they were barely spending any time together,” says one insider. “She felt he neglected their relationship. Neither of them was happy.”

The Green Bay Packers quarterback, 38, is “an independent guy,” the sources adds, noting Aaron “got cold feet” about his impending nuptials to the Big Little Lies actress, 30.

Ultimately, Shailene and Aaron “couldn’t make it work,” a second insider explains. “There were too many obstacles. They’re both adults and decided to part amicably.”

The Mug and the laugh in the background, it sounds like Aaron and Shailene are loving all the rumors about their possible breakup.
