Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers clarified the meaning of his cryptic social media post sent out late Monday night amid retirement rumors

Aaron Rodgers sent social media into a frenzy late Monday night when he sent out a long, cryptic Instagram post where he thanked many people in his life.

Among the people mentioned in his post of ‘gratitude’ were ex Shailene Woodley and some of his teammates on the Packers.

“Spread love and gratitude you beautiful people, and read a book once in a while too while you’re at it. Love and peace,” he wrote at the end of the lengthy post.

Despite the waves of people who were expecting Aaron Rodgers to retire after his message, that will not be the case. At least not yet.

During an appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday, the reigning MVP revealed that his message was in relation to coming out of a 12-day “cleanse” — in which he spent time in reflection of everything going on in his life.

So no, Aaron Rodgers will not be retiring. Not today…probably not for a long time.

Since having his engagement to Woodley called off, many have been speculating what’s next for his future. And while the rumors of a Broncos, Steelers, Colts, Niners, etc. trade still persist, it appears as though Green Bay will once again do everything in their power to keep him around next season.

My guess: Aaron Rodgers will still be under center for the Packers in 2022-23.
