Randy Arozarena didn’t reach his ultimate goal of winning the World Series. However, the rising star has nothing to hang his head about. Arozarena went from an unknown to a guy who etched his name into the history books with a postseason for the ages.

His storybook run in this year’s postseason doesn’t seem to be slowing down, either. According to Randy Arozarena’s agent, a movie could be in the works.

MLB Network’s Jon Morosi broke the news of the potential movie Tuesday Night. Arozarena’s agent is reportedly in talks with a production company regarding a movie about one hell of a journey for Arozarena. The 25-year-old Cuban native signed with the St. Louis Cardinals after playing in the Mexican leagues. His career didn’t take off until joining the Rays last offseason. He had just 19 major league games under his belt before the Cardinals gave up on him.

Now, Arozarena is a household name.

Arozarena now has the record for postseason home runs with a whopping 10. The highest anyone has ever gotten was eight. Some of the names Arozarena had to pass to notch this record included Corey Seager, Barry Bonds, Carlos Beltran, Nelson Cruz. Most of which were bonafide sluggers.

Arozarena also has the record for most total bases in any postseason. That record was previously held by St. Louis Cardinals postseason phenom David Freese.

Nobody expected this from Randy Arozarena. He very nearly carried the entire Rays team on his back and lead them to a World Series title. What a story for Arozarena, who has had a whirlwind ride to MLB superstardom. If a movie does end up happening, it will be incredible.
