Jimmy G not in the 49ers long term plans?

The 49ers had a huge win against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, but before the Niners collected another W for the regular season, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that San Francisco plans to trade Jimmy Garoppolo this off-season. Here’s the interesting part, Jimmy G can keep his job if the 49ers signal caller can make it to another Super Bowl.

Yep, it’s just that easy.

“Absent a Super Bowl run, which at this point is still theoretically possible, this is the 49ers’ plan next season: start Trey Lance, trade Jimmy Garoppolo. Not a surprise there, they’ve been pretty up front about that.”

Not sure that message isn’t out there to help motivate Jimmy G.

It’s been a bumpy road for jimmy Garoppolo in San Fran, the guy doesn’t get much respect.

Sometimes it’s okay to just have a serviceable QB. There just aren’t that many QB gamechangers out there.
