49ers Fans Are Officially Sick Of Kyle Shanahan After Embarrassing Loss To Cardinals

The Kyle Shanahan hype is officially over.

When Shanahan took the Niners to the Super Bowl in 2019, many saw him as the top up-and-coming offensive mind in the NFL. But over the past two seasons, San Francisco has steadily declined, and have proven to be mediocre (at best) this season.

On Sunday, with a chance to defeat a Kyler Murray-less Cardinals team, the Niners once again sputtered – losing the game 31-17.

After the game, fans took to social media to voice their displeasure with Kyle Shanahan.

Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers players seem genuinely at a loss for what went wrong. Everyone has said they had a good week of practice and emphasized not lowering the intensity level if Kyler didn't play.

With the loss, Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers dropped to 3-5 on the season, tied for last place in the NFC West division.

The biggest question surrounding the Niners remains the quarterback situation. Even after trading up to draft Trey Lance before the season, Shanahan has stuck with Jimmy Garoppolo all season long.

On Sunday, Shanahan once again doubled-down on his stance that Jimmy G is still the starting quarterback going forward.

But regardless of who’s under center, the 49ers will continue to lose games without a better effort across the board. And Kyle Shanahan might be looking for a new job in the offseason.
