The 2022 NFL Playoffs kicked off this weekend for the Super Wild Card Round. And while there was some excitement, we’re expecting much more drama for next weekend’s Divisional round.
So, with that being the case, lets look ahead to the star-studded matchups set to take place for the Divisional Round.
AFC
Bengals at Titans
When: Saturday 4:30 PM E.T
TV: CBS Streaming Service: Paramount +
Betting Line: Titans -3, O/U 47
The Bengals are coming off their first playoff win in over 30 years thanks to Joe Burrow and their prolific offense taking down the Raiders – who shouldn’t hang their heads after making it farther than anyone expected after all the turmoil they endured all season long. Now, Burrow and the Bengals will have the tall task of heading to Tennessee to take on the Derrick Henry-less Titans – who have been figuring out their formula despite losing the bulldozing running back earlier in the season. We’ll see if Cincinnati can pull out the upset.
Bills at Chiefs
When: Sunday at 4:30 PM ET
TV: CBS , Streaming Service: Paramount +
Betting Line: Chiefs -2, O/U 55
This will be the most highly-anticipated matchup of all the games this weekend. Both the Chiefs and Bills were dominant during their wins in the Super Wild Card Round. The Bills used their offensive prowess to dominate Bill Belichick and the Patriots at home on Saturday. While Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs found their rhythm and ran away from the Steelers on Sunday night. Even with the Titans being the #1 seed in the AFC, whoever wins this game will undoubtedly be the favorite to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. Should be fun.
NFC
49ers at Packers:
When: Saturday at 8:15 PM ET
TV: Fox
Betting Line: Packers -5.5, O/U 47.5
The 49ers will hope they can get some revenge for a Week 3 loss at the hands of Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Despite drafting QB Trey Lance in the first round of last year’s draft, Jimmy Garoppolo has led the Niners to another playoff run after upsetting the Cowboys in Dallas on Sunday afternoon. However, they’ll have their hands full next weekend. Aaron Rodgers’ Packers are currently the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. And they’ll have the Lambeau Field advantage next week.
Cardinals or Rams at Buccaneers:
When: Sunday 3:05 PM ET
TV: NBC
Betting Line: To be determined
Death, taxes, and Tom Brady making a run in the playoffs every year. Once again, Brady looks to have a team capable of winning the Super Bowl. But he’ll have a fun matchup with whoever wins the Cardinals/Rams game on Monday night. The Buccaneers were able to trounce the Eagles (and make fans believe they had no business there to begin with) during their matchup on Sunday afternoon. They’ll likely be a slight favorite regardless of who ends up getting the chance to travel to Tampa next weekend. But it’ll be a tight one.
The Super Wild Card weekend had a few blowouts. And now, we’ll likely have some more fun in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. This is when teams start to separate themselves, and prove they have what it takes to win the Super Bowl in February.
I think I speak for everyone when I say we’re ready for these Divisional Round matchups.
