An NHL penalty box attendant found himself in a scary situation during Game 3 between the Bruins and Hurricanes on Friday night.

Following a David Pastrnak goal late in the second period to give the Bruins a 3-1 lead, TD Garden was shaking in excitement. But as the party in the stands was going on, glass near one of the penalty boxes broke, falling on an unexpected attendant.

He was immediately stretchered off the ice and taken to the nearest hospital.

According to Boston Globe beat writer Matt Porter, the man has been identified as Joe Foley. And he was taken to the hospital for “precautionary reasons”. He is said to be doing ‘ok’.

After the game, Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy sent a message to the NHL official.

“We send out our well-wishes that the gentleman’s fine.”

We’re all waiting for a speedy recovery following this unfortunate situation for Joe Foley.
