Hockey fans are a lot like the players on the ice.

Following the Tampa Bay Lightning New York Rangers Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals, an apparent Rangers fan sucker punched a Lightnings fan and left the guy unconscious lying on the ground.

You can even hear his head bounce off the ground.

“The NYPD now says there was actually no argument between the two parties prior to the punch … telling TMZ Sports in a statement, “The defendant approached the victim (unprovoked) striking him.”

Police arrived on the scene shortly after the incident occurred and arrested Rangers fan James Anastasio.

According to the report, James Anastasio was booked on charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment.
