Organized Hockey Fighting In an Iced Ring Is Now a Thing

The future is here.

Most fans who casually tune in to watch hockey love to see fists fly. It’s a part of hockey that gets the most coverage, and we’re all guilty of hoping we can catch a hockey fight when we attend a game. Now we have a fighting league that takes two hockey players and pits them in an iced fighting ring.

That’s it.

It’s not a no-holds-barred event, and according to the rules of the fighting, no head-butt, no biting, no pulling hair or kneeing your opponent. Also, combatants’ helmets and gloves must stay on at all times.

Fighters must wear MMA gloves too.

This is definitely interesting concept, but don’t think it’s going to go mainstream. It feels a lot like something you’re going to end up watching on the OCHO.
