Oh brother.

The brother of former NFL cornerback Aqib Talib has been identified by police as a suspect in the shooting death of a coach at a youth football game in Texas. Yaqub Salik Talib is suspected in the weekend shooting that killed a man, police in the Dallas-area city of Lancaster said. A shaky video appeared online allegedly, to show the incident which took place after a youth football scrimmage.

Here’s what Lancaster Police told 9News:

“During the disagreement the opposing coaching staff were involved in a physical altercation and one of the individuals involved in the altercation discharged a firearm striking one adult male. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment where he was later pronounced deceased.”

Dragons president Mike Freeman said the dispute began when Hickmon went to pick up a football and someone kicked it away.

“I don’t know how to explain it to the kids. That’s the part that I’m stuck on right now. How do I explain it to them. Why?” Freeman said. “This is something that these kids will remember for the rest of their life.”

Here’s the statement Aqib Talib’s attorney gave TMZ:

“Aqib was present when this unfortunate incident occurred and is very distraught and devastated over this terrible loss of life. He would like to convey his condolences to the family of the victim and to everyone who witnessed this unfortunate tragedy.”

Aqib Talib recently signed with Amazon to work as a studio analyst on Thursday Night Football.

Before that he worked for FOX.

This madness has to stop, it’s literally youth sports, it’s not that serious.
