Former NFL head coach Tony Dungy sparked a debate all over social media today.

While Florida governor Ron DeSantis had a public outing to attribute some money towards an organization for fathers, many were quick to notice that Dungy was over his shoulder smiling.

After the video went viral, fans flocked to social media to share their opinions of Tony Dungy joining forces with the likes of Ron DeSantis.

Ron DeSantis has been ridiculed for introducing the “don’t say gay” bill into legislature. And Tony Dungy has a history of making some controversial comments on that topic, as well.

When Michael Sam became the first openly gay NFL player drafted, Dungy had some interesting comments about whether or not he would welcome him into his locker room.

The longtime Colts head coach said he would’ve passed on Sam’s services “Not because I don’t believe Michael Sam should have a chance to play, but I wouldn’t want to deal with all of it,” Dungy said via The LA Times.

Dungy went on to say, “It’s not going to be totally smooth … things will happen.’’

The Tony Dungy debate has continued to rage on for all these years. And now, it appears that he’s not afraid to reveal his political allegiances.
