Tom Brady Finally Explains Why He Took a Hiatus From Buccaneers Training Camp Practices, Preseason

According to a report, Tom Brady grew frustrated by Bruce Arians and the Buccaneers after being stuck with Bill Belichick for so long

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is back at practice following his break from the team. But now, he’s going to have to answer some uncomfortable questions.

When speaking to the media on Saturday night, Brady knew he was going to be asked about where he was during his (nearly) two week hiatus. But he kept his answer brief.

However, he did hint at some sort of issue that he was tending to.

“It’s all personal. Everyone’s got different situations they’re dealing with,” Brady told reporters.. “We all have really unique challenges to our life. I’m 45 years old, man. There’s a lot of s— going on. Just gotta try to figure out life the best you can. It’s a continuous process.”

When pressed on his answer and asked whether this issue was something that will continue to persist during the season, Brady adamantly said he’s “ready to go”.

The break was pre-arranged with Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles and the rest of the team’s brass.

“I think since I came to this organization, it’s been amazing — it’s just been an amazing experience for me to come to this place and be as supported as I have for a long period of time,” Brady said. “I read all these stories about all these different places I was supposed to go or could have gone. And I was like, ‘I only was gonna go to one place, which was here.’ I think this whole organization knows that.”

While Tom Brady is hoping to keep his personal matters out of the public eye, Buccaneers beat writer Rick Stroud recently hinted at the issue getting out in a matter of time.

“It’s not a vacation, let’s put it that way,” Stroud said Monday on “The Dan Patrick Show.” “Was it necessary for him to be with his family? I think so. Did they have it planned before training camp? Yeah, they would have. But it wasn’t as if like, ‘Hey, I was out and we made these great family plans before school starts and we’re going to stay committed to that.’ I do think that at 45, having played 22 years, he knows what he has to do in training camp to get ready. There’s still three weeks before the start of the regular season if you count the week leading up to the Dallas game.

“So, this was all kind of built in. But like I said, I think we’ll find out the reason here, whether Brady announces it or it just gets out that it’s personal and he’ll talk about it when he’s ready to.”

Hopefully Tom Brady took care of whatever off-field matter he needed to, and can now set his attention on dominating the NFL for one more year.
