With the more news that comes out on Deshaun Watson, the more it seems like we won’t see him playing in the NFL for a very long time.
Despite the fact that he recently settled 20 of the 24 lawsuits against him, the league is still conducting their own, separate investigation into the matter, and a suspension seems like a foregone conclusion at this point.
This weekend, NFL insider Mike Florio reported that the NFL is considering leaving an open-ended ‘indefinite’ suspension for Deshaun Watson — which would sideline him for the entirety of the upcoming season.
The league wants to keep the suspension open-ended in the event that other cases are filed against Watson in the coming weeks and months.

Even with a suspension looming, Deshaun Watson indicated that he plans to be with the Browns for a long time.
“This is going to be my home for my career. Watson said this after thanking the media and asking for respect for the legal proceedings ahead,” he said.
You’d have to imagine that the Cleveland Browns are second guessing their decision to make Deshaun Watson one of the highest paid players in NFL history right now. But regardless of what decision gets handed down, they’ll likely have to bite the bullet.
Expect Watson to be receiving some bad news any day now.
