Report: Tom Brady Expected Back With Buccaneers “Very Shortly”

We have officially hit panic mode about Tom Brady and his hiatus from the Buccaneers. But it appears that the saga is coming to an end ‘very shortly’.

This morning, ESPN insider Adam Schefter tweeted out that the expectation is that Brady will be rejoining the team ASAP.

“Bucs’ QB Tom Brady is expected to return to the team, per a source, “very shortly.” Brady left the team earlier this month for personal reasons,” he said on Twitter.

It’s unclear what led to Tom Brady walking away during Training Camp due to “personal reasons”. But Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles riled up NFL fans when he admitted that he wasn’t sure when TB12 was returning following their last preseason game.

“We’ll see,” Bowles said Thursday to ESPN. “We’ll talk about it next week. Not concerned about it right now. We’re trying to practice against Tennessee and play a game. I said ‘sometime after Tennessee.’ There’s no definitive date for me. But we’ll check on it, we’ll keep in touch and we’ll find out.”

The unannounced absence of Brady has led to many rabbit-hole type content on social media — including a well-thought-out theory that the GOAT was taking time off to film an appearance on “the Masked Singer” because he had made an agreement when retired.

That rumor was quickly debunked by insiders, but it is also believed that he doesn’t have any pressing matter to deal with inside his family.

Perhaps Tom Brady just wants to create some work/life balance for himself, and go out on his own terms in his final year.

If that’s the case, who could really blame him?
