Did Tom Brady have something to do with Bruce Arians shockingly retiring on Wednesday night?

After the 2021-22 season, reports began to surface that there was some animosity between Arians and Brady that could have played a role in the QB briefly announcing he was done earlier in the offseason.

But now that Tom Brady is back as the Buccaneers quarterback, it was announced on Wednesday night that Bruce Arians will no longer be his head coach and play-caller.

Shortly after the shocking news was revealed, people were linking Tom Brady to the surprise decision.

Perhaps Tom Brady really forced Bruce Arians into retirement, or just maybe the coach took one for the team knowing that was the clear path to the franchise having success.

Either way, we’ll likely never hear them admit that the reported rift had anything to do with the retirement (or Brady’s brief decision to step away).

With Bruce Arians moving to the front office, Bucs DC Todd Bowles will take over as head coach, and Byron Leftwich will be Tom Brady’s play-caller.

What an absolutely bonkers offseason we’ve had in the NFL…
